The Glasgow Orkney and Shetland Benevolent Society Bursary

 

Students attending or who have attended secondary school in Orkney or Shetland and intending to pursue or are already pursuing full time undergraduate study in Glasgow may apply for the Glasgow Orkney and Shetland Benevolent Society Bursary.

Criteria and Procedure for Applicants for First Year of College or University

  • Applicants must be pupils attending secondary school in Orkney or Shetland and who intend to pursue full time study at College or University in Glasgow.

  • Applications from pupils, in writing, to the Secretary of the Society will require proof of intended study in Glasgow.

  • Applications will be non means-tested - the only criteria being residency and place of study.

 

Criteria and Procedure for Applicants for Second Year of College or University

Students will be invited to apply for consideration of a further award in their second year of study.

  • Applications from prospective second year students, in writing, to the Secretary of the Society will require proof of study in Glasgow

  • Applications will be non means-tested - the only criteria being residency and place of study.
